Ultradent Launches VALO Cordless

read more »Today, Ultradent announced the launch of VALO Cordless, another expertly engineered development in LED curing light technology. VALO Cordless maintains the powerfully efficient broadband technology offered by the multiple award winning VALO, and adds a battery-operated, cordless wand for mobility.
VALO Cordless features custom, multi-wavelength Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) to produce high intensity light at 395-480 nm--capable of polymerizing all light-cured dental materials. This intensity can penetrate porcelain and is capable of curing underlying resin cements similar to a quality halogen light. VALO Cordless comes with VALO rechargeable batteries and a battery charger suitable for power outlets from 100 to 240 volts. The standard lithium iron phosphate rechargeable batteries are safe, inexpensive, and optimized for power and longevity.
The new handpiece is designed to rest in a standard dental unit bracket, or can be custom mounted using the bracket included in the kit. It offers consistent curing intensity and output in a durable, aerospace aluminum body with a Teflon coating and a sleek, ergonomic design.

Ultradent Introduces Fluoride Varnish with Mess-Free Delivery and its new SoftEZ™ tip

read more »Ultradent just released Flor-Opal Varnish White, a fluoride varnish with an innovative syringe and tip delivery system for fast, simple and mess-free application. The new system comes complete with Ultradent’s SoftEZ™ tip for a paintbrush-like application that applies an even coat of varnish from start to finish.
Flor-Opal Varnish White features a unique syringe-to-syringe mixing system ensuring a consistent, even dose of fluoride is applied to each tooth. Individual syringes are packaged with a Luer Lock cap that is replaced with an empty syringe prior to application. Unlike traditional fluoride varnishes that use a “well” and brush system, the mixing process between syringes ensures a consistent application of fluoride with less mess and product waste.
Flor-Opal Varnish White is delivered with Ultradent’s new SoftEZ tip, a tip with a unibody design that avoids fiber shedding and tip clogging. The bristles are integrated within the body of the tip providing a platform for an even coat of varnish. The syringe is also flexible, facilitating reach to difficult-to-access areas.

Ultradent Announces Launch of BPA Website

The website, www.ultrasealxt.com, is the host for frequently asked questions about Bisphenol-A (BPA) and its use in dental sealants. Ultradent Launches Peak Universal Bond- The Complete “Adhesive Tool Kit”

Ultradent Announces Two Initiatives to Support Relief Efforts in Japan

read more »In response to the evolving humanitarian crisis that resulted from the recent 9.0 magnitude earthquake and subsequent tsunami in Northern Japan, Ultradent announced plans for two initiatives to support relief efforts in Japan. Both initiatives will support AmeriCares, a non-profit disaster relief and humanitarian aid organization which provides immediate emergency response and supports long-term humanitarian assistance programs around the world.
“Disasters of this magnitude require support on a global scale,” said Dr. Dan Fischer, President/CEO of Ultradent. “While we’re reassured that our colleagues in Japan are safe, we’re saddened by the state of destruction in the region and hope to do our part in helping relief and long term recovery efforts”.
Ultradent’s relief initiatives include a voluntary program for Ultradent employees to donate funds which will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the company. Details of the program have been shared with more than 1000 employees throughout Ultradent’s international network. Ultradent has also delivered hygiene aids (toothbrushes, OpalPix, etc.) for immediate support. The second initiative extends to friends and patrons of Ultradent. Facebook friends and Ultradent store visitors will be provided with the option to donate funds to an account Ultradent is preparing for AmeriCares. -
Six Miss Universe Australia WA Preliminary Contestants Were All Smiles After Making The Final Cut

read more »Twenty-four Miss Universe Australia 2011 WA finalists displayed their beautiful Opalescence-whitened smiles in the final round of competition in Perth, Western Australia last week. The six finalists, Alana Wilkie, Alycia Altieri, Ashlea Ingham, Jordi Levin, Samara Tugwell and Scherri-Lee Biggs will continue to the Miss Universe Australia crowning in Melbourne later this year. One contestant, Rebecca Johns, was crowned as the Miss Universe ToyBox Charity Ambassador for the coming year.
The Miss Universe Australia 2011 WA Preliminary started included 64 finalists which were narrowed down in 6 rounds of heats. All of the finalists prepared for heats by whitening their smiles with Opalescence Treswhite Supreme. Finalists used their “runway-ready” smiles to add extra glam as they made their way through the selection process.
ToyBox International was selected as charity foundation for the Miss Universe Australia 2011 WA Preliminary. In addition to the preliminary event, Miss Universe WA finalists participated in fundraising initiatives for the foundation through charity lunches, golf tournaments and fashion parades. The funds raised will be used by ToyBox to fill grants for local sick and disadvantaged children in need.

read more »The City of South Jordan will be presenting Ultradent founder and CEO Dr. Dan E. Fischer with its Corporate Citizen Award during a luncheon to be held at Ultradent in South Jordan (505 West 10200 South) on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 with a program beginning at 12:00 noon. The award recognizes Dr. Fischer’s and Ultradent’s numerous contributions to the City of South Jordan and to improving global oral health. The award will be presented by South Jordan Mayor W. Kent Money.
“Dr. Fischer has worked tirelessly at creating and innovating products designed to improve oral health throughout the globe. His personal philanthropy and the philanthropy of Ultradent have improved lives throughout the world. Dr. Fischer is a community partner who values and supports the same ideals that our community embraces, and whose actions and life are worthy of this recognition” Mayor Money said.
Ultradent was founded in Utah over 30 years ago by Dr. Fischer who saw a need for more effective dental products than were offered at the time. Ultradent has now grown to become one of the largest dental products companies in the world with over 800 different products, most notably its teeth whitening products.
Ultradent has entered into a successful partnership with the American Dental Association in which the company provides lectures to junior- and senior-level dental students at nearly 60 schools throughout the United States. Ultradent’s Kim Foster Del Percio Voted Top 5 Sales Representative!

read more »Ultradent’s Kim Foster Del Percio, sales representative in the Mid-Atlantic area, was voted as a ‘Top 5 Sales Representative” by Dental Products Report (DPR) in the December 2010 issue. The ‘top 5’ were determined by feedback from a vendor review survey conducted earlier in the year.
“I consider my customers an extension of the ‘Ultradent family’, said Kim in an interview with DPR’s Stan Goff. “My goal is to transfer our mission statement and values by providing solutions for minimally invasive dentistry through high-quality products.”
Kim’s caring attitude has clearly contributed to her exceptional performance. Her manager, Kevin Shawver, describes how this approach has benefitted her and her customers. “She approaches her customers with a high degree of passion, which is contagious, not only to her customers, but also to her teammates”.
